Our Mini Dazzlers classes for younger children aged 4 to 6 run on Saturday mornings throughout term time.  We also run theatre workshops during selective school holidays. For more information about our workshops, please follow this link to go to our workshops page.

'Mini Dazzlers' get to perform regularly and are always ready to show that they too can put on a mini musical!  They are taught those early rhythmic, pitching, speech and movement skills in a lively engaging way.  The classes are NOT JUST music and movement – they really are an opportunity to learn and engage in drama, singing and dance.

We aim to stimulate imagination and creativity but
most of all we want the children to have fun!

These classes aim to encourage the younger children to take part in simple aspects of singing, dancing and acting.  We will encourage the children to work together and build their self confidence and aim to help develop the following skills of this age group:

        communication        imagination        singing and vocal skills

listening        reading        physical fitness        co-ordination

The hour will be roughly divided into 20 minutes of singing, dance and drama.

DANCE
Our dance teacher is qualified to put students in for ISTD exams and therefore our Early Years dance syllabus aims to get them ready for the preliminary Modern Theatre ISTD level.  Free choreography is also a strong element of the class and we use current appropriate music.  They are also taught rhythm and the early elements of correct posture.

DRAMA
Children are encouraged to develop their communication skills through improvisations involving finishing off unfinished stories, partner work, learning very simple poems and presenting them to the rest of the class as well as many other drama activities. They also present simple plays to parents on a regular basis.  Children from the age of 5 upwards are offered the opportunity to take introductory LAMDA exams helping them develop their presentation skills. Preparation for LAMDA introductory exams is included as part of our normal teaching.

SINGING
Lots of their favourite songs are used as well as those they may not know quite so well.  All our songs have simple melodies which do not stretch the voice beyond it’s capabilities at this age.  They are taught strong listening skills to develop their sense of pitch and how to get the notes just right!  Vocal games are used together with simple vocal exercises reinforcing even at this early age how important it is to warm up our voice and to encourage them to take notice of and develop their breathing.

Fees & Payment Terms for SATURDAY ’MINI DAZZLERS’ AGES 4 – 6 : -

ALL FEES ARE PAYABLE TERMLY IN ADVANCE
and are therefore dependant on the length of term.
£8 per week (payable termly).
No joining fees, subscriptions or insurance charges (all inclusive).
Costumes for shows are provided (as much as possible) and included.

NEW STUDENTS:
First week trial lesson FREE.
Balance of terms fees payable the following week.
All other standard terms apply.

EXISTING STUDENTS RENEWING ENROLMENT:
Fees are due before the end of the existing term.
Standard terms apply.

Instalment payments available by means of two or five post dated cheques, but is subject to minimum amounts.
