WHAT DOES RAZZLE DAZZLE OFFER?

Razzle Dazzle Stage School is a part-time, independent, professional stage & theatre school which offers children aged between 2 and 16 a fun and rewarding environment to come and learn performing arts skills, challenge their abilities and broaden their creativity.

We are a friendly, family run school, and being independent of any franchise constrictions, are flexible and offer a curriculum keeping pace with current trends, whilst moulding itself around our students needs.  All our material is age appropriate, something which is often under emphasised, and lessons have strong links with the National Curriculum wherever possible.

We do not require students to pass an audition before being offered a place.  We believe that all children have different talents, and providing the child has an interest in the first place, in the correct environment with proper nurturing, it is surprising what a child can achieve. We strongly believe in equal opportunities in performing arts for children of all ages and abilities.

Main School
Children aged between 7 and 16 learn the fundamental skills of performing across the genres of DANCE, SINGING and DRAMA, whilst being encouraged to have as much input into productions as possible.  Back stage skills and prop work are all part and parcel of the learning experience at Razzle Dazzle, which all combined go towards developing self confidence, communication skills and self esteem - those important life skills that are highly emphasised today.

The school holds shows at least twice a year.  One large scale full school production will be in a professional theatre, and other performances during the year are individually group based with each group performing a different play, songs and dances, thereby giving all students the opportunity to have a speaking part and vocal performance if they wish, as well as enjoying a wide variety of dances.  Smaller productions give a much greater opportunity for personal development and the students’ love to show the other groups and parents their work!  Performing within the community is very much encouraged and students regularly take part in local events.

Students wishing to progress further with exams are encouraged, and we offer the ability to work towards exams in all three genres of acting, singing and dancing.  For those that find the idea of exams unappealing, this is entirely optional.

Early years 'MINI DAZZLERS'
Younger children aged 4 to 6 also get to perform regularly and are always ready to show that they too can put on a mini musical!  They are taught those early rhythmic, pitching, speech and movement skills in a lively engaging way, and from the age of 5 upwards they too have the chance to enter for LAMDA introductory exams if they wish.  The classes are NOT JUST music and movement – they really are an opportunity to learn and engage in drama, singing and dance.

Preschool 'DIDDY DAZZLERS'
Our youngest children are aged between 2 and 4 and are given the opportunity to learn early role playing skills through interactive storytelling and other drama activities as well as singing simple songs appropriate to their age group and responding to songs and music through their bodies with simple movement and rhythm skills.

Plenty of interaction between the preschool practitioner and the children is the key to a fun filled engaging hour. Diddy Dazzlers offers a great way of building self confidence and introducing our youngest members to those early performing arts skills.

We aim to stimulate imagination and creativity but most of all we want the children to have fun!
